Eighteen years ago, we met Zoe at the Spielwarenmesse toy fair in Germany, where we were showing our very first products: a cardboard playhouse and a handful of experimental ideas. Zoe and her then-partner David arrived with a sample of their debut Miller Goodman design, FaceMaker, a set of beautifully crafted wooden blocks that immediately caught our attention. Our sensibilities aligned from the first conversation, and a long creative friendship began.

Over the years, we kept meeting in Paris, London, Tokyo and beyond, exchanging ideas, meals and inspiration. In the often impersonal world of trade fairs, our brands quickly felt like a kind of chosen family. As time passed, our lives and careers evolved. Zoe and David moved on from Miller Goodman, and Zoe continued as an artist and consultant, creating standout work including her Nomads series. What has remained constant is our connection.
During a shared summer holiday in the South of France last year, Romy suggested marking our 20th anniversary with a collaboration, and the Zoe Miller capsule collection was born. The collection features five iconic pieces: a bird, a bee, a butterfly, a ladybird and a floral bouquet. Each design is unmistakably Zoe, yet seamlessly part of the Studio ROOF universe.
